On the topic of indemnity insurance, what's professional indemnity one, please? I went to the local advice centre recently and noted (while waiting) that they had a certificate on the wall about it. Please dont say i should av asked the advisor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Why didnt you asked your advisor? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Professional indemnity insurance is intended for businesses or professional organisations. In a nutshell: its a protection against potential negligence by the member of staff or against clients claims.

A good example of this would be - You have a survey done on your house which comes back fine, you then later discover the house has subsidence etc that the surveyor should have picked up on, he would be liable as you have made a financial loss due to his advise, Hope this helps. (is this where you realise you should have some?)
