I have lived in my privately rented home for 5yrs 6mths, it's not rented through a letting agents. I have 6 credit accounts, though 2 are defaulted and due to come off my report the middle of next yr, the rest are classed as satisfactory(including my current account and overdraft). I have never failed to pay my rent and have never had any problems at all with my current landlord, so he can give me a good reference.
Can I still apply for a rental property through a letting agents and what is the criteria for tenant's when they apply through an agency? I don't want to waste my money paying for a check through them and then I fail the requirements. Thanks in advance. |

I would have thought letting criteria depends on a particular agency or landlord.
