Hello guys (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I rented a flat directly from the landlord some two months agao, at that time I was not informed that flat has below mentioned problems:

1. Dampness, which covers my bedroom and living room like a living hell with few days of cleaning with bleach

2. Electric shower doesnt work

3. Faulty Toilet flush

4. Boiler - problem is boiler doesnt work only on Hot Water mode, I have to start the Central Heating to get hot water! Landlord says to turn off the radiator knobs and start the heating to get the hot water because he explains since last ten years all his tenants has been doing the same!

Honestly I was never informed or even given a hint of the above mentioned problems when I viewed the property and when I came again to sign the tenancy agreement. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Now in this situation, can I give my landlord a month' notice and leave the flat keeping in mind that my six months minimum stay period will be ending in August'10? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Please help me guys if I can escape from this haunty flat??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

thanks
Wiqar

Hi there and sorry about all the problems! Does your tenancy agreement have any clauses about the items you mention? Did you speak to your landlord about these? Think boiler is the most serious one. Arent they supposed to be serviced every year?
