Is there any training available to become one? Or perhaps one does not need any qualifications to become a property inventory clerk?

Not sure about training, but there is an Association of Independent Inventory Clearks (AIIC). They should know and may be able to point you in the right direction. Are you thinking of becoming one? smile.gif

Inventory clerks provide an essential service by producing concise and accurate schedule of conditions relating to the contents and fabric of residential properties. You would need to have good computer word skills, smart in appearance, an eye for detail and competent communication skills. You will also require your own transport. If you have all of these then you could become involved in the booming residential property rental market.
A.R.I.C. offer a modern day professional 1 day residential inventory clerk training course in London. Certificate of Attendance and 1 year membership to the Academy on completion of the course. Large amount of members throughout the UK. As an association we are committed to excellence and professionalism in the property inventory process and work hard to ensure that all landlords, tenants and letting agents understand the importance and benefits of professionally completed property inventories.
