Dear wisemen,
My situation is as follows: I've been renting a property for about a couple of years without having a tenancy agreement. Several days ago my landlord, Mr X, told me that a man from some agency will come to me and acting on behalf of Mr X will make a contract with me. So, what I'd like to know is: When he comes can I take the draft of the agreement and tell him to come back several days later because I need to think it over and make some amendments to the contract? The bed I sleep in is mine, I mean I bought it myself for my own money. How this fact should be reflected in the contract? When the fridge with a freezer went out of order the landlord replaced it with a fridge without freezer. Can I insist on replacing it with a fridge with freezer? In the bathroom window there's a piece of glass missing since the day i moved in and it's always cold there in winter. Can I insist on replacing it before I sign the agreement? On examining the agreement if I find a point about a fee for late payment, how shoul I react? What is an average amount of the fee in such cases? Can I insist on excluding that point from the contract? What else could you advice me to do before signing the agreement in order not to be cheated by the landlord and the agency? Thank you very much! PS Can the agency raise the amount of payment by the way? |
