Brits Drive without Car Insurance

According to the latest report from Moneysupermarket, online comparison source, one in six Brits drives without car protection cover and does not feel ashamed to admit this fact.
It is interesting to know that 4% of UK citizens know that they are breaking the law by driving without car insurance, whereas 2% are not even aware of the fact that car cover is required by state law. Further 8% said that they have not enough time to buy or renew their policy, whereas some people are determined they will never get in an accident and that's why car cover is unnecessary.
Commenting on the findings of the survey, Steve Sweeney of Moneysupermarket, said that drivers who drive without car insurance "could face thousands of pounds in liability, a conviction including six points on ... licence as well as the headache of charges up to £5,000."
If you want to buy cheap car insurance, consider using online comparison sources to find the best deals available from UK car insurers.
