Sainsbury to Relaunch Car Insurance Business

Tesco is to face fierce competition as Sainsbury is about to relaunch its car insurance business.
The company plans to cooperate with RBS Insurance and to offer its customers insurance savings of up to 15%. These will come in the form of Nectar loyalty card points that can be redeemed at shops.
Earlier Sainsbury provided assurance cover in cooperation with Ben Tyte. Commenting on the move by Sainsbury, Tyte said that "the use of the Nectar card to reward those purchasing insurance was designed to increase customer loyalty."
Let us remind that in the past months auto insurance premiums have increased by 30% and reached £815 on average. Tesco became one of the leading motor assurance providers as it held almost 5% of the market. The company's market share is expected to grow further as it has recently opened an online second-hand car dealership.
