UK Drivers Risk Car Insurance and Health

According to article published by a British comparison website, Which4U, many Brits drive when feeling tired, thus, putting their car insurance policies and health at risk.

This conclusion is based on the latest research carried out by Direct Line, car and home insurance specialist, in cooperation with Brake, road safety charity. It was released only 4 days ago and suggests that almost 75% of respondents across the UK do drive when being fatigued. The survey involved over 800 respondents from different parts of the country.

A similar survey among holders of breakdown car cover has been last carried out 6 years ago and showed that only 46% of respondents risked their lives. This means that the increase in the figure amounted to 28% in 6 years.

Commenting on the results of the research, Mr. Goldby from Direct Line said that the new trend is worrying because tiredness and driving are a potentially deathly combination. He urges drivers to either avoid driving tired or take regular stops to rest.
