Conveyancing Association Created in the UK

It has recently been announced that a new body is being launched in the United Kingdom to supervise the activity of the conveyancing sector.
The Conveyancing Association (CA) has been created in an effort to eliminate the threats to the future of UK conveyancing, which are being caused by the behaviour of lenders.
Let us remind that certain banks have reduced the number of conveyancing firms on their panels without proper consultation, which is perceived as a great threat to the industry. Mr. Edward Goldsmith, chairman of the Conveyancing Association said that the body is to act as an intermediary between lenders and conveyancing firms.
Another reason for the creation of CA, in his opinion, is the possible changes in market regulation. The Legal Services Act (LSA) is expected to contribute to the growth in the number of players on the conveyancing market in 2011, which is the reason why existing firms should become CA members at early stages.
At the moment, 14 UK conveyancing firms are already signed up for CA membership.
