Debt Collector’s Revenues Fall in 2010

Intrum Justitia, a debt collectors firm based in Liverpool, saw its revenues fall in 2010. However, its management is determined that the company will be back on track this year thanks to a marketing push.

The revenues of debt collectors fell to £363 million, which is 8.8% lower than in 2009. As for revenues from external clients from Western Europe, they decreased even more (16%), to £134 million.

Despite all these falls in revenues, Mr. Lars Wollung, chief executive of Intrum in Western Europe, said that the firm "developed well." He highlighted that he is "pleased with the development of our operations and take a confident view of the challenges that await us in 2011."

Let us remind that the firm, which moved to Liverpool in 2007, currently employs 60 people in Great Britain and plans to expand its business network in the UK.

Originally, Intrum was founded in Sweden in 1923, and since then became the Europe’s leading Credit Management Services (CMS) company with offices located all around Western Europe.
