Brits Believe Financial Debt Is Normal

A recent news article written by Ms. Shaw of CashQuestions - online financial source - suggests that most young Brits believe debt to be a normal part of their lives as they do not think that credit cards are something bad or unusual.

Similar figures were released by Scottish Provident, insurance provider, last week. They showed that an average UK consumer does not feel concerned unless his or hers debt amounts to £15,837 or more.

Annie Shaw, however, thinks that in the coming years the approach of young Brits towards debt will change. This is possible, in her opinion, in some time. "I think we are going to become far more debt adverse. It is going to take a long time to shake out this thing because we all do have so much debt and it builds up so fast. There has been a wake-up call here and people are going to be reluctant to take on so much debt because they want to know how they are going to pay it off."

It is interesting to note that other reports on debt published by CashQuestions throughout 2010 featured almost the same information as Brits preferred to live beyond their means and struggle with debt.
