Pay Less – Get More
Nowadays people can enjoy the possibility of living in bigger and better house while paying less than before. The story of Philippa Hoad, a single parent with two disabled children, proves this possibility. The programme which helps people improve their living conditions is called the New Build HomeBuy scheme and it’s offered by Orbit First Step. As it was already mentioned, Philippa has two disabled children of 19 and 16 years old with autism, and that’s why she can’t work. Four years ago she separated from her husband and after that she and children were living in private rented accommodation. As she explains, that house was quite small, it needed maintenance. However, the rent was surprisingly high. The reason for Philippa staying there was that she was unsure she had another choice. She thought that as a full-time career she wouldn’t be able to get and pay for the mortgage which would let her buy her own property. But Philippa was lucky to attend an open event held at Orbit First Step’s development of new homes, as it changed the situation completely. She says the staff helped her a lot and she was given a whole application pack, but she still was not sure that her circumstances would let her purchase any property. That is why he was particularly surprised to know that she can afford buying a share in a four-bedroom house. On the remaining share she’s paying a subsidized rent, and in total this rent amount to less money per month than she was paying previously, and the house is much better. Philippa didn’t have much trouble with paperwork as her solicitor was familiar with Orbit First Step and the schemes they offer, so the transaction took about 12 weeks. The company specialists say that they can help almost any person in almost any circumstances; they can even help many people with household income less than £60,000. The specialists are always ready to answer all your questions and help you.
