The Timber Frame Industry is Looking with Confidence into the Future

According to the information, presented by the UK Timber Frame Association, the timber frame construction sector witnesses the development of the industry, despite challenging economic situation in the country and the outstanding downturn on the property market. All in all, the total growth of the sector comes to 25 per cent in 2008 compared to 8 per cent in 1998.  The positive dynamics of the timber frame construction is regarded as a result of cheap and available housing. The peculiar thing is that the market share of the timber frame construction in Scotland attained 75 per cent and, moreover, this index keeps increasing. The chairman of the UKTFA and managing director of pinewood Structure Ltd, Geoff Arnold, expressed his proud in the timber frame industry in the UK as it had proved its stamina, elasticity and readiness to resist the difficulties, such as crisis in the UK property sector. Moreover, he insisted that at the moment the timber frame construction is the only way to overcome the consequences of the downturn, because timber frames represent a material that is easy to work with. It allows to build sustainable homes in a short time period. And what is more important, it is an affordable financial solution for people. Probably, with the beginning of the pick up, the necessity for homes will be so urgent that the timber frame construction will become the number one solution. The timber frame industry is looking with confidence into the future.
