Aviva Signs a Contract With Arc Legal Assistance

Aviva has appointed Arc Legal Assistance, specialist provider of legal expenses insurance, to provide its personal lines customers with cover of home and travel legal expenses.

In the opinion of Arc Legal Assistance management, this deal is the largest of this kind in the UK so far, because Aviva is one of the most successful insurers in the country. Every one in five households is insured by Aviva. Commenting on the appointment, Mrs. Withers, MD at Arc, said that it represents not only a new era of Arc Legal Assistance development, but also the growing importance of legal expenses covers in Great Britain.

The deal took effect from September, 1st. It aims to provide 1 million of Aviva home legal expenses policies and 2 million of travel legal expenses policies with cover.

Mrs. Helen Withers went on to say that experts at Arc Legal Assistance were always determined that add-on insurance policies are the protection Brits needs especially given “the future potential changes in the litigation funding landscape.”
