Storms in the UK Result in Numerous Insurance Claims – AA Insurance

UK insuring company AA has just reported a 200% rise in the number of calls from its customers, making claims about property and car damage caused by the storms.

Mainly, the damage is done to the roofs, roof tiles, windows and the garden (fallen trees).

Another problem that many Brits faced is the inability to repair the damages because the continued stormy weather makes it dangerous for the maintenance staff to do their job.

Commenting on the latest news, Simon Douglas of the AA Insurance, said: "Last year it was snow and ice, this year high winds and heavy rain: both bring a sharp increase in home insurance and emergency claims."

He highlighted that customers whose properties or cars have been damaged by the storm should contact their insurance provider right away and arrange for a contractor to repair the damage or at least temporary fix the problem to prevent further damage to the property or the vehicle.
