Brits Believe House Prices Are Over-valued

An interview recently held by Rightmove, UK property portal, revealed that almost 50% of Brits believe that house prices are too high and over-valued.
The proportion of those who hope for a reasonable decrease in property values is only 25%.
The interview by Rightmove was held among 26,000 consumers. Among these are also people who plan to sell their properties in 2011-2012 and who are determined that marketed properties are priced too high.
The survey revealed that the opinion of people varies from region to region. As such, those living in London are determined that house prices are over-valued in 60.8% of cases, while residents of other regions share the same opinion in 50-52% of cases.
Commenting on the findings, Mr. Shipside of Rightmove said that "there is a growing sense that many homes coming on to the UK housing market are priced too high, and this is borne out by the views expressed in this survey."
Detailed information about the survey by Rightmove is available in the publication on the official website of the company.
