Wedding Insurance Is Very Important –ABI

The Association of British Insurers recently reminded all couples planning a wedding to purchase insurance cover.

Experts' estimates suggest that an average UK wedding costs £20,000, making it the most expensive day in people's lives. Thus, it is essential that this day is fully insured.

Most UK insurance providers include the following mishaps into wedding protection policy:

• sickness (flu, cold etc.)
• loss of rings
• damage to the wedding gown or groom's suit
• collapse of the wedding cake and many more

Commenting on the importance of wedding insurance, Mr. Starling of the Association of British Insurers, highlighted: "While wedding insurance can’t guarantee that everything will go without a hitch, it can give you the peace of mind that any unforeseen events will be covered."

He also said that wedding cover is available for all couples, regardless of their wedding budget. The most important thing when buying cover is shopping around and choosing the best deal.
