NLA Conference 2010 Held on December 4-5th

British landlords might be interested to know that the National Landlords Association Conference, held on December 4th and 5th, was described as "a success" by the organisation's chairman, Mr. Salusbury.

The conference covered such issues as landlord insurance, buy to let lending, direct housing benefit payments, Government cuts, etc. Although most landlords seemed to be concerned with the above-mentioned issues,

Mr. McDonald of the Department for Communities and Local Government reassured the participants of the conference that the state appreciates "that letting to housing benefit tenants must remain a sound business proposition... and that having a reliable rental stream is fundamental.”

Overall, NLA members are determined that this year's conference was a huge success as UK landlords had an opportunity to hear from many speakers and to discuss the most urgent issues. Mr. Salusbury highlighted that the National Landlords Association will continue to lobby the Government on the issues that are of most concern to buy to let landlords.
