The Private Landlords Forum to Be Held Today in South Staffordshire

South Staffordshire Council is hosting an event for local residential landlords today, on April 22nd. The event, called the Private Landlords Forum is being held at Council Offices in Codsall, at 6.30pm. The key speaker will be the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) representative, Wayne Owen, who will pay particular attention to home health and security aspects, especially those of gas safety and regulations that govern it. Other issues that will be on Forum’s agenda are: Choice Based Lettings, Council’s Property Accreditation, and Rent Deposit Guarantee Schemes. South Staffordshire Council is hosting the Forum as it recognizes the role that local residential landlords play in meeting local housing needs. The Council hopes to maintain good relations with landlords and to support them as much as possible by holding bi-annual meetings. Councillor David Billson from the Strategic Services department of South Staffordshire Council said that he and his whole team would like to encourage as many landlords as possible to attend this and future forums. By attending the forum, landlords will have an opportunity to acquire the most up to date information on various subjects, to pose their questions to Council officers and to meet other local residential landlords.
