Yorkshire Landlords Day to be Held Next Week
Next week, on Thursday (May 14th) hundreds of Yorkshire landlords are expected to gather in the Pudsey Civic Hall for an annual event that has become a key date for Yorkshire residential landlords. The Yorkshire Landlords’ Day, which is being annually held on May 14th this time is organised by Unipol and the Residential Landlords Association. The major aim of the event is to provide landlords with the most up to date information on latest products, market trends, services and legislation. Also, landlords are welcome to network and to share their opinions and practices. Last year the event was sponsored by RLA Insurance and it attracted over 500 Yorkshire residential property landlords. The Landlords’ Day will include various events, including free seminars (on such topics as: “Letting property to studentsâ€, “Surviving City Centre Developmentsâ€, “Coping with the credit crunchâ€) and trade fair. Chris Town, who himself is a landlord in Leeds and a director of the Residential Landlords Association (the members of which, by the way, own over 100,000 private buy to let properties across the UK) said that the buy to let sector is a very fast-growing and dynamic industry for business investment. That is why, according to Mr. Town, all landlords need to be always aware of the most up-to-date market trends and developments, so that their properties are kept safe and the legislation is complied with. All landlords who wish to participate in the Yorkshire Landlord’s Day (it’s free of charge!) are welcome to visit the Yorkshire Landlords Day website or to contact Scott Blakeway of UNIPOL Training.
