London and Leeds Are Most Theft-Prone Areas in UK

On Friday, February 3rd MoneySupermarket websites revealed the results of its new research.

The aim of the research was to identify the most risky areas in Great Britain in terms of burglary.

Experts at MoneySupermarket found out that those living in Stoke Newington are most likely to contact insurance company with a burglary claim.

Other regions identified by the website, are the North of London, Apperley Bridge, and West Bromwich.

Commenting on the findings, Julie Fisher of MoneySupermarket, said that "being in a higher risk area doesn't necessarily mean where you live is bad or rife with crime – many thieves will target more affluent areas purely for the rewards on offer. No matter where you live there will always be an element of risk to the safety of your possessions so it is vital to have adequate home insurance in place."

The findings of MoneySupermarket were based on the analysis of over three million house insurance quotes placed on its website in the past year.
