NLA and UKALA Join Forces to Improve Private-rented Sector

From now on, rent guarantee insurance, landlord insurance and tenant checks will be easier to access as the National Landlords Association (NLA) joins forces with UK Association of Lettings Agents (UKALA).

Commenting on the move, Mr. Salusbury, NLA chairman said that cooperation of the two organisations will definitely help establish better environment in the private-rented sector and contribute to improved relations between tenants, landlords and more than 500 letting agents.

As for UKALA, its chief executive, Mr. Peartree, said that he is happy to have joined the largest British landlord organisation, which will resume responsibility for management of UKALA and will provide its members with useful information and advice.

Higher standards in the private-rented sector are expected to be established and followed. This, in its turn, will result in mutual benefits for all parties, which will feel the positive effects of the decision of UKALA and NLA to merge.
