UK Landlords Prefer DIY Home Improvement Projects

UK Landlords Prefer DIY Home Improvement Projects

A recent article by Build It magazine suggests that more and more UK landlords are looking for online bargains to improve their properties.

Online stores and design websites provide landlords with a lot of cheap goods and great ideas on how to complete do-it-yourself projects.

In the opinion of Anna-Marie DeSouza, editor of the magazine, which specialises in home improvement, believes that "many DIYers will go and have a 'hands on' look at various products in the shops, make a note of the price and then search for the best offer on the web."

She highlighted that the number of sales of home goods jumped in January-February by as much as 56%, which means that UK landlords are actively renovating.

However, all UK landlords planning DIY projects are recommended to contact their insurance provider to make sure that handmade renovations are covered by protection policy.

You can find a list of best-selling landlords insurance deals on online comparison sources. Make sure to contact the insurer prior to purchasing the policy.
