Allianz to Launch Consumer Brand in the UK

Allianz, the biggest insurance company in the world, which is based in Germany, has recently announced its intentions to launch its consumer brand in the United Kingdom. Until now, the company has been selling its insurance products through such British insurance companies as Cornhill, which was acquired by Allianz in 1986, and Petplan, pet insurer. Allianz marketing and communications manager, Mr. David Keel, confessed that at the moment, the insurance provider is busy with the registration of several product names and URLs despite the fact that plans for launch are not yet fixed. According to Mr. Keel, some of the names and URLs, which Allianz intends to register, are Car Insurance and Your Cover Home. Last year, the German insurance provider appointed a British ad agency Joshua G2. These days it is examining the firm’s global marketing strategy, and envisages the appointment of additional agencies by the end of the year of 2009. It is worth noting, that the operating profits of Allianz, reported by the company in the 1st quarter of 2009, amounted to €1.4 billion, given its revenues of €27.7 billion. At the same time, another reputable UK-based insurance provider, Kwik Fit Insurance announced that Monday, June 29th was the company’s 2nd major sales day in 2009; also, a battle of sexes was hosted by the insurer on that date. On Monday, Kwik Fit Insurance enjoyed great sales figures, which were previously seen only once in 15 years; also, the company negotiated significant savings for its consumers. On June 29th, Kwik Fit Insurance managers managed to sell 1,300 new car insurance policies; the result represents the 5th best sales of car insurance in the company’s history. The sales of home insurance policies represented the 2nd best figures on the firm’s records. Moreover, June 29th was marked by a battle of sexes, hosted by Kwik Fit Insurance – an event, where company’s male and female employees participated in physical and mental challenges. The event resulted in the victory of men.
