Higos Extends Its Home Emergency Cover
On September 1st, Higos Insurance Services published a report on its website, suggesting that the company has significantly extended its Home Emergency Cover, which fact means that Higos’ customers now can make bigger claims for home assistance or repair of home appliances.
According to Mr. Ian Gosden, Higos Insurance Services managing director, the company’s extended cover allows insured homeowners to make 3 claims a year, each of which can be for a max. of £500 – the figure that is more than double compared to previous policy terms.
Higos Insurance Home Emergency Cover, regardless of its name, covers not only emergency occasions that damaged the homeowner’s property but also breakdowns of the most essential home appliances, such as cookers, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines/tumble dryers, TV sets, DVD/CD players, etc.
Mr. Gosden is determined that the change in the insurance policy means the company is providing its customers with a cheaper yet more efficient cover of home emergencies as the services from major British utility providers cost a fortune and as repair works associated with the breakdown of home appliances are also priced very high.
Higos’ Home Emergency Cover provides its customers with a 24/7 Helpline, through which homeowners will be sent a suitable person in case of emergency or breakdown. Skilled workers, specialising in the following areas, are available through Higos’ Helpline: plumbing and drainage, gas, electricity and water supply, heating and boiling systems, door, roof and window repairs, etc.
Home Emergency Cover also includes pest infestation by means of eradication or removal. Moreover, all insured homeowners will be placed in a hotel (the max. value is £250) at the insurer’s expense in case the property is considered unsuitable for living as a result of the emergency.
