UK Pensioners to Get Advisory Positions

Pensions Management, a British magazine that features authoritative opinions on pensions and investments, suggests that there is a reasonable way to deal with the ageing of UK workforce.
Experts of the magazine claim that older workers should be offered consultative or advisory positions instead of physically demanding ones.

In the opinion of Mr. Thomas, Pensions Management executive editor, the country will soon enter a period, where people in their 60s will hold part-time or advisory positions. He claimed that the government's initiative to increase the retirement age will make it very hard for employers to fire mature workers. Thus, they will look for ways to rationalize their businesses.

Let us remind that a recent poll carried among UK workers revealed that 70% of people believe it's impossible to live on a pension for 30 years. Instead, they will have to look at savings schemes other than pension schemes, which allow for earlier access for money. An average of 1,000 respondents took part in this opinion performed by BBC.
