Halifax and Lloyds Withdraw from Pet Insurance Market

UK holders of insurance for pets might be disappointed to know that Halifax and Lloyds and pulling out of this market.
Halifax and Lloyds, the two banks owned by the Lloyds Banking Group used to offer cheap and extensive pet insurance to Brits. Now, however, the company decided to pull out of this market, leaving its customers in search for new cover providers.
While some of pet owners will only find it inconvenient, others (those with Halifax Extra Policy) can lose lots of money by switching to a new company.
For justice' sake it has to be mentioned that both, Lloyds and Halifax sent numerous letters to its customers telling about the bank's decision to withdraw from the insurance market in the coming months.
"We recognise that this is inconvenient for our customers. Our aim is to support our customers in meeting their needs. Customers will therefore be able to move their policy if they wish prior to renewal, and BDML will be offering customers a quote for alternative pet insurance cover," said Lloyds Banking Group representative.
