Pet Owners Should Beware of Cold and Icy Weather

NFU Mutual, one of the leading UK insurance companies, warns pet owners against not having adequate pet health cover.
Company's experts claim that, according to statistics, winter is one of the most dangerous seasons for pets, dogs in particular. Oftentimes cold and icy weather conditions lead to pet injuries, the treatment of which totals to £2,000.
Meanwhile, 53% of 874 pet insurance surveyed by NFU Mutual do not have pet insurance. As much as 58% of those say they are not sure why purchase it, while 19% and 15% accordingly think that it is not worth the money and that putting money aside is more efficient.
Commenting on the trend, which is believed to be concerning, Justine Simms-Gould of NFU Mutual said that "any money an owner may save by cancelling or failing to renew a policy could prove to be a false economy when compared to the expense of meeting bills for serious conditions or accidents."
You can get a pet insurance quote online to make sure you can afford this type of protection.
