House Prices Are Strongly Affected by Property Location

Parents who want their kids to go to top UK schools should be ready to pay 35% more for their accommodation in nearby areas.

A new report published by Primelocation suggests that the price of homes in UK is strongly affected by their location.

Those properties located in top school areas are priced higher than those that are not.

The most expensive area is considered to be near The Henrietta Barnett School in Barnet, London. Houses prices in this area start at £655,429. Other top locations are near St Olave’s and St Saviour’s Grammar in Orpington, Queen Elizabeth’s School in north London and Queen Elizabeth’s School in London.

According to Primelocation estimates, the prices in these locations are approximately 35% higher than the UK average.

This is why many parents are interested in renting rather than owning properties in these top locations. Rent rates, however, are also far from being low; on average, they stand at £1,500 a month and sometimes reach £2,500.
