Housing Professionals Unite to Assist Homebuyers

Professionals of the property industry have been working together to help UK citizens get on the property in the current economic conditions. Registered social landlords (RSLs), that are just emerging, local authorities, solicitors, and financial advisors have recently met at a series of seminars organized and managed by Orbit First Step, a company that has recently been appointed the HomeBuy Agent in four UK regions. The new areas include Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, Hereford and Worcestershire, Coventry and Warwickshire, Birmingham, Solihull, Staffordshire and Shropshire and the Black Country. Previously, Orbit First Step has been appointed the HomeBuy Agent only in Norfolk and Suffolk. The recent appointment made Orbit First Step the largest HomeBuy Agent in the UK. The mission of the company is to help potential buyers to purchase a property through the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) HomeBuy scheme. The seminars, organized by the company, aimed to ensure that all parties to the process are armed with complete information about the service. Karen Coleman, the HomeBuy Agency team manager said that the seminars provided an excellent opportunity for the company to explain the schemes and procedures involved in the process of buying a house through the HomeBuy programme. She added that as the products of the HomeBuy programme are constantly changing, the seminars will be held on a regular basis so that everyone concerned is aware of the new schemes.
