Home Improvements Are Planned by 25% of Brits
Recent online survey revealed that 1 in 10 British citizens plan to make improvements to their homes this year in spite of the economic downturn. The results showed that 25% of the British are now saving up to afford home improvements with 8.5% planning to make their homes look and feel as they wish. 15% of respondents said that they wanted to expand their properties by adding more space and 8% of respondents, generally aged 18-34, planned to add more value to their homes. Experts admit that the credit crunch made a great number of homeowners put off their plans to buy or sell a property; however they find it quite encouraging that one quarter of households do not let themselves to be beaten by the downturn and consider home improvements. Experts also say that home improvements generally add both, monetary and aesthetic value to properties. Experts warn homeowners who consider spending large sums of money on home improvements that professional advice is crucial in the current economic climate. Proper advice on the finance of property renovations is very important when one decided to add value to the property.
